Download English Version of Google Chrome

Google Chrome is the best browser ever. It is very powerful and lightweight with lots of extension which make's it stand as operating system. The chrome web browser has support for so many features like applications, games and also provide tools that helps web developers build application in an efficient way.
Chrome is my favorite browser among others. It is recommended for everyone who wants to have more feel of the website they visit. The method way chrome present data to user is awesome. If a web features is not supported by other browser, surely Google Chrome will have support for it whether it is a new feature or old.
The reason why you are here is that you need a chrome that present information in English. Well that is the reason for this post too but it could be that you may alter the settings or my the chrome browser was built using that language.

Changing Chrome Language

1. On your computer, open Chrome.
2.  At the top right, click More   Settings.
3.  At the bottom, click Advanced.
4.  Under "Languages," click Language.
5.  Next to the language you'd like to use, click More . If the language isn't listed, add it by clicking Add languages.
6. Click Display Google Chrome in this language. This option is only available on Windows and Chromebook computers.
7.  Restart Chrome to apply the changes

Turn translation on or off

By default, Chrome offers to translate pages written in a language you don't understand.
Turn translation on or off for all languages
You can control whether Chrome will offer to translate webpages.

1.  On your computer, open Chrome.
2.  At the top right, click More   Settings.
3.  At the bottom, click Advanced.
4.  Under "Languages," click Language.
5.  Turn Offer to translate pages that aren't in a language you read on or off.

Theguardian Was wrong about Whatsapp Flaws

Theguardian.com release a public report on their website claiming whatsapp has a security flaws.  This prompt whatsapp users to be concerned that their private messages  could be read by a third party. The  article can be find here, though it has been amended because the report was a wrong claim.

According to critics, the report could affect the decision of users for whom Whatsapp security is fine but might abandon Whatsapp for even worse communication security. Secondly, some organization, activist who may need more secure communication means but with the popularity of Whatsapp might want to Join the crowed. The set of group might abandone Whatsapp for less secured communication means. Many other Whatsapp user might have been affected with the guardian report.

But recently, Theguadian.com has release a publication stating that the earlier report was not test with appropriate expert before releasing the article on security flaw about Whatsapp. All whatsapp users can still tap on the services provide by Facebook-Owned-Whatsapp without fear of private messages hijack because Whatsapp is better secured by optional two factor verification.

Creating a Simple Website with laravel

Laravel is a php framework as you all know, a lite one at that. I love using it because it is very easy to learn and it save time too when using it for web development project. Laravel is one of the best php framework among others. It support mvc. It is easy to install and so on.
Laravel installation is simple. Xampp or homesteads may be used as a local server. It is recommended to use homestead when developing. Although is also ok with xampp and wamp servers.
This tutorial will help you create a simple website using laravel php framework. For this will help you understand the basic and how it work before creating complex task with the excellent framework.
We are going to used laravel 5.3 for this tutorial. Before you continue this tutorial make sure you have a little knownledge of mvc pattern
Step one to creating a basic laravel website
Let create a controller that will handle functions that will may likely used on our page
To make a controller in laravel is pretty simple using php artisan. If you using windows, Go to start->cmd-> navigate to the root of your website project (eg. Cd c:/xampp/htdocs/project). When you are there type “php artisan make:controller mycontrolller”
Once you have successfully created this controller, navigate to the folder of the laravel web project (app/http/controllers) where the controller created using php artisan is located.
Now we now have our controller ready. Lets now route the url. Routing is a method of handling all url that comes into laravel website. Whatsoever url that you link to laravel website with making available in route.php, the url will be considered invalid. When you route the url, it will take you to method in the controller you may have specified to handle the type of website page that the user will see.
Route in laravel 5.3 is located at “routes/web.php” older laravel version has it at “app/http/routes.php
  web.php or routes.php
Route::get('/','Mycontroller@index');
Paste the  above code in web.php as route. This means that whenever the first page of the website is visit (which is localhost/webproject/public) the method (index) which we are yet to create on my controller should handle it.
Now open myController (app/http/controller/myController) in here create a function or method that will handle the url that was entered

}
Paste the above code on myController.php and it will return index.blade.php which we are yet to create as the html view that will be return.
now let’s create the index.blade.php. go to “resources/views/”  create index.blade.php file in this folder
 now run the website  just by typing “localhost/project/public”
Step two creating basic laravel website
Web.php  or route.php
Route::get('about','mycontroller@forAbout');
Put that code on web.php or route.php which will call on forAbout() method on myController.php controller.

The above method or function in laravel will return a html page or php page normally created created in the format of blade.php.

Using Google font locally (offline)

Google font is an online tools that provide an API to customized and used different kinds of web font on a website. The font is tested in various browsers and there is assurance that those font provided will work on  on all browsers across different display system. It is very easy to customized your desired font and apply it straight to your website with ease. For the fact that the font is customized, it does not slow down website and is reliable because it was developed and maintained by Google. Another benefit of this Google font is the fact that it can be used locally during a website development on local server.
Using Google font locally means that the various font provided by this Google tools will work on the web page even when the computer is not connected to internet. Before you continue to make sure you under css 3 @font face selector rules. This allow a customized font such as Google font to be loaded on a web page.
The first step  is to understand how Google font works. Before getting it to works on a local computer or offline browser one should have the knowledge that the tools allows you to download a particular font on and embedded it to the targeted web page and get it to work using css @font face rule. The process of doing all these is what I will discuss with you on the next paragraph.
Go to font.google.com and you will see list of web site font that you can actually get it work on your own website. Right now there are about 815 font available for you all for free. There are several way you can actually customized it by changing  the size, bold and so on. And you can actually check the font on alphabet, numerals, paragraph to see how it styles computer characters.

Once you have found the font that you actually likes, click on the plus (+) button attached to the font  tray that automatically show at the bottom of the page with a label of one and family selected. Click on the label, once the tray opens up, you should see a downloaded icon at the left hand side of the page click on it to download.

Now that you have download it, unzip and save it to your website project folder. Then write the following code on your css file

  src: url('Reem_Kufi/ReemKufi-Regular.ttf' );
}
The code above change the name of the font to myfont for references purpose if you understand how @font-face work that should not be an issue and src::url() will link to the location of the folder of the font, the name and format of the font.
Select a tag with which you want to apply the font to and style using the name given to the font.
